Missed you!

Sorry I've been gone for so long! But I didn't really have anything to blog about because I haven't done any knitting for the past few weeks. I realize this is sacrilege, but I've been swamped with school. Wednesday was my last day of classes. Now I have a week to study and then I'm launched into finals. Right after finals are over I move into my new house! Then I'll probably have to start working. Blah. That's really all that's going on here. Even though I haven't been knitting, I have still been thinking about knitting. I ordered to coolest knitting tote the other day (see pic below). I've mentioned Natalie Dee (cartoonist, knitter, and dog owner with a good sense of humor) a couple times on my blog, but she really has out done herself with this one. I thought some of you may be interested in purchasing one. (By the way, I don't know Natalie and I don't gain anything from you buying anything from her, just in case you thought I was starting to sound like an infomercial. I just really like her cartoons.)

Layers of fun

Attention everyone!! My pal was the bestest! Today, I show you the layers of fun that arrived yesterday on my doorstep.

Layer 1:
100_0160 Secret Pal Bag

Extra cute bag that is the perfect color for Spring/Summer and holds my current knitting project (Ribby Cardi) perfectly.

Layer 2:
100_0162 Secret Pal Yarn

4 skeins of Knit Picks sock yarn. Two of Sock Garden in the Morning Glory colorway and two of Simple Stripes in blue/cream/grey colorway.

Layer 3:
100_0163 Secret Pal Book

Nancy Bush's "Knitting Vintage Socks: New Twists on Classic Patterns"

Thank you so much Jen! Jen is a fellow Coloradoan who shares my joy for snowboarding and knitting, though not at the same time, at least not for me. All of her packages have been fabu. I am especially excited about this last one because I have been meaning to learn how to knit socks, but I hadn't forced myself to do it yet. Now I have an absolute classic book to guide me, along with great yarn and a cute bag. I will be so stylish!
